YMTC using the decimal system: 1GB = 1,000×1,000×1,000 Bytes. Computer operating systems typically use the binary system: 1GB = 1,024×1,024×1,024 Bytes. Therefore, the conversion formula for actual available capacity is: Available Capacity = Labeled Capacity × 93% (1,000³ ÷ 1,024³ = 0.93). The actual available capacity of an SSD may also vary due to formatting, partitioning, and differences between systems.
